IHF's Photo Challenge | Bright & Vivid

IHF's Photo Challenge | Bright & Vivid

This weeks Photo Challenge is Bright and Vivid!  I don't really have an image that stands out to me as Bright and Vivid.  But I do have a little 3 year old that is the definition of Bright and Vivid.  My entry this week is my son form his Valentine's Day shoot from this year.  It captures him as a funny, bright, amazing little boy!  To me he is Bright and Vivid.  Full of life and joy.

I hope you enjoy the image:

Thanks to Mommy for the shirt and the balloon idea!

POST PROCESSING

I opened the image in PS CS5.  Added a layer copy to adjust my Curves for contrast and brightness.  I added some Pop with OnOne Plugins.  I then added my watermark and Copyright info to the file.

IHF's Photo Challenge | From a Distance

IHF's Photo Challenge | From a Distance

This weeks photo challenge is Portraits from a distance.  That means no close ups.  I immediately thought of this picture.  It is of my son and his Grandmother walking down the beach with there footprints behind them.  I love this picture!  And I hope you do too!  Here it is!

I hope you enjoy this shot.  See below on post production.

POST PRODUCTION

The original image had beach goers and buildings in the background.  I thought it would be great to take out those items and have the focus and our subjects.  I use Photoshop CS5 with OnOne Plugins.  I opened the image up and did a copy layer to edit from.  I adjusted contrast using Curves.  Then used OnOne to  pop my colors.  I then made a new layer to edit the buildings and people out of the back ground.  I used the content aware healer to take everything out.  Once that was complete, I lassoed the footprints and darkened the contrast to make them pop out from the sand.  The I added my custom OnOne boarder and my water mark.
I hope you enjoyed this brief description on how this image was made.  And of course the image itself!
Here is the image before the buildings and people were taken out:

The Pledge of Alligence

The "Under God" part is the what is missing from our country. When I took this shot, I instantly thought of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Flag flying right in front of the Church. I just thought it fit with the shot.
Please enjoy it and pass the link along!

I knew I Loved you....

For Chloe,

I knew I loved you then, the moment I knew you had life.
In that instant I was filled with a Love that every Father knows.
No, not my first. But still Loved the same. Love I have for this girl I do not know.
We have never met, but I Love you still.  More than these words will ever tell.
I can't explain! How could it be?  This Love I have, unconditionally.
It's a Father's Love, given from God above. To show us of the Love he has for us.
To Love forever, without questioning.
A gift from God. A blessing true, this little girl I never knew.
I can't wait until I see, this little girl that has captured me.
Face of an angel, Beauty of her Mother's.  A Brother waiting to welcome you.
Soon we will meet, and we both will cry.  Tears of joy will be in my eyes.
I didn't know you a year ago, A year from now you are a One year old.
Time may fly, the years pass by, but this Love I know will never go.
I knew I Loved you long before, I ever saw your face or toes.

I knew I Loved you....

Love Always,

Daddy

I wrote this to express my love for my second child, Chloe, who we are very expecting soon.

When I met my wife, Jessica, 11 years ago I fell deeply in Love with her.  I felt that God had put us together.  My life changed so much because of her, all for the better.  In 2007, we found out we would be having our first child.  I felt it as soon as I found out, that I Loved Grant.  In September of 2007, I got to meet Grant and my life was again changed, again for the better.

It's funny, if I never had met Jessica, my life would not be what it is today.  She is the best thing that has ever happened to me.  Without her, I would have never met my wonderful, amazing son and I wouldn't be waiting to meet my sweet baby girl, Chloe.  God has a plan.  Sometimes we just have to get out of His way and He will handle the rest.  God knew what He was doing when He put us together.  And I wouldn't have it any other way.  Everyday I am thankful for what He has done in my life and for the people He has put around me.

Now, with Chloe coming any day now, I know my life is about to change again, I know for the better again.  I know that it will be amazing and I can't wait to see what God has in store for me next!

Thank you,

Jason W. Cline

Please keep us in your prayers while we wait for Chloe's arrival!

Photo Editing Fun | Fix It Friday #84

Photo Editing Fun | Fix It Friday #84

Here is this weeks Fix It Friday entry.  Fix It Friday is when we take a original photo and edit it to our styles and tastes.

Here is the Original Photo:

My 1st edit is here:

Open it in PS5.  I zoomed in and got rid of the drool on her chin, using the healing tool.  Then I adjusted the Levels to bring out the colors in this picture.  I used OnOne Plugins to brighten and bring out the Colors and the Eyes.

Then I Cropped in down to give it better composition.

Then I added my own BW OnOne Mix to the Cropped version:

And that is it!  I hope you enjoyed this weeks Fix It Friday from I Heart Faces!
